Bugsy Malone

Putting together this year’s production has been particularly exciting. We have had the pleasure of working with, not just Causeway School students, but also thirty year five students from Stone Cross, The Haven, Langney and Pevensey and Westham. It has been such a joy watching all these students of different ages come together to produce an outstanding piece of theatre, in fact, our youngest performer is just four years old and our oldest is 15.

We are also excited to have a student and staff band for the first year ever and joining them will be the student and staff choir. In addition, we are so impressed with the outstanding back drops created by the Arts Award students. Well done everyone.

This large multi-aged group has not impacted on the professionalism or team work, if anything, the support they have given each other and the friendships they have built gives this production a truly special feel. Mr Baxter, Miss Da Silva, Ms Carver, Mr Mason and I have also been blown away by the talent displayed across all the year groups. It is such a pleasure to work with such a talented bunch of young people; their commitment has been overwhelming.

We would also like to thank the parents and Primary schools for their support in making this happen. At Causeway we are proud of being a school which is a part of the community. Being able to bring young people together from across the local area was something we were keen to make happen, so your support with this has been greatly appreciated.

Thank you to all the staff and students who have helped out with this great production.
