Swale Academies Trust joins Causeway School for a dance extravaganza

Causeway School welcomed the Deputy Lieutenant of East Sussex, Tim Cobb, on Friday evening for their first Swale Academies Trust Rock Challenge.The evening was a celebration of dance with eight exceptional choreographies performed by each of the Swale Academies Trust Secondary Schools from East Sussex and Kent including: Causeway, Peacehaven Community School, The Eastbourne Academy, Meopham, Westlands, The North School, Community College Whistable and Sittingbourne Community College. +

Causeway take to the Airwaves

On Thursday 16th November Causeway once again took to the airwaves as part of Eastbourne Youth Radio. A group of 10 excited, but nervous, Year 7 students had prepared a show packed with their thoughts about the school so far as well as jokes and movie reviews. We also took three budding musicians from Year 10 who regaled us, Eastbourne and potentially a global audience with their excellent renditions of the indie rock classics, Smells Like Teen Spirit and Song 2.  +

Putting together this year’s production has been particularly exciting. We have had the pleasure of working with, not just Causeway School students, but also thirty year five students from Stone Cross, The Haven, Langney and Pevensey and Westham. It has been such a joy watching all these students of different ages come together to produce an outstanding piece of theatre, in fact, our youngest performer is just four years old and our oldest is 15. +
