Student Swalefest 2018

Fourteen of Causeway’s young leaders joined over one hundred students from other Swale schools on Friday, to discuss, debate and, ultimately, design a practical vision for student leadership - one that honours the student-designed manifesto of last year - across the trust. It was a privilege and a joy to watch our students contribute to and, in many cases, drive forward the discussion whilst also making friends with pupils from other schools.  +

£800 raised for Cancer Research

A fantastic end to last week ‘in pink’ with our very own Race for Life! The girls gathered together with 175 students running 3km at the end of the school day. First place was awarded to Paige Alyward, second place to Alani Taylor, and third place to Phoebe Stoner. The atmosphere was so positive and our students excelled in their support for one another and Cancer Research, raising nearly £800. Thank you to everyone, especially Ms Newman and Ms Da Silva, for making it such a success.  +

Congratulations to sisters Lisa and Emma in Year 11 who are balancing their studies with serious competition, taking part in the Shrikyu Marshal Arts Karate Competition in Kent on Sunday 3rd June. Emma received 2 golds, a silver and a bronze medal and is now the champion female point sparer in her age group. She also came 1st in the unisex light semi contact sparring. Lisa received a silver in the unisex kata division and a silver in the female point sparring. Well done! +

Your Town, Your Ideas, Your Future

Our students made us very proud today working with professionals, including Stephen Lloyd, at the Eastbourne Schools Partnership event hosted by Eastbourne College. The focus was 'Your Town, Your Ideas, Your Future'. Next steps for our Year 10 leadership group is to support the Health and Wellbeing programme and make their applications for the Student Cabinet! +

The official countdown to Eastbourne’s most prestigious summer sporting event began this morning when our Year 8 and Year 9 students took to the court at Devonshire Park. Nature Valley International Tournament Director, Gavin Fletcher, joined Meads Lawn Tennis Club’s Head Coach, Francesca Scollo and young players from around the region to celebrate a town with tennis at its heart.  +
