We are very proud of the students that have been involved in ‘Little Red’. Not many schools give students the responsibility of writing and directing a major production, but here at Causeway we believe that the students can achieve great things when given the opportunity and this performance is an example of that.
The idea for ‘Little red; came out of a piece of work created during Real Learning Week. After last years successful production, Jack and the Beanstalk (also written by the students) the cast wanted to do something different, a bit darker, a bit more about the world they inhabit, whilst using the framework of a traditional story.
Again the Winter production is providing a platform for students to hone their writing, directing and technical skills and again I have been blown away by their ideas and enthusiasm.
This production has elements from the award winning work of Frantic Assembly which the year 10’s have studied along with high spec technical elements which are the brain child of James Freebody.
u see on stage has come from the brains, the pen, the knowledge and the talent of the cast. They have managed in 12 weeks to create a high quality, completely original script complete with full set, costume and make-up.
We are so proud of each and every one of them for their hard work and commitment.
